"A monstrous tripod, higher than many houses, striding over the pine trees, and smashing them aside in its career; a walking engine of glittering metal, striding now across the heather; articulate ropes of steel dangling from it, and the clattering tumult of its passage mingling with the riot of the thunder. One flashed, and it stood out vividly against the storm; the next moment it was blotted out by a swirl of black smoke. Two feet were lifted high and the third dabbled in the heather. Far away, across the heather, the tripod seemed now to be picking its way deliberately, spreading destruction as it went."

"The thing was incredibly strange, for it was no mere insensate machine driving on its way. Machine it was, with a ringing metallic pace, and long, flexible, glittering tentacles swung and rattled about its unseen body. The monster, as it lumbered by, picked its road as it went. It was as if it were surveying the country through the intricate eyes of a complicated machine, scanning the field with a kind of metallic intelligence. In the back of its body was a metallic case, like the huge bulk of a fish basket, and from behind it there trailed green wisps of luminous smoke as it passed."

The models in the set are resin, 3D printed and can be damaged if not handled properly. All models are unpainted. Glue and paints are not included. Contains small parts and is not intended for use by children under 14 years of age.
